A traditional no-hole braided belt fastens through its weave. Instead of choosing from a fixed line of punched holes, you position the buckle pin at a suitable point in the braid. The construction gives you a finer adjustment around the waist.

Fastening through the braid

Thread the belt through your trouser loops and bring the end through the buckle. Choose a comfortable fastening point in the weave, secure the pin and pass the remaining tip through the keeper loop. The braid provides the space for adjustment, so the fit is not limited to a few predefined positions.

On LA BOUCLE braided stretch styles, the weave works with a flexible construction. This is the design behind the no-hole fit described on our Mono, Duo and Multi product pages.

What does stretch add?

A stretch braid can move with you as you sit, stand and go about the day. How a belt feels also depends on its materials. Textile braids, waxed cotton blends and leather stretch braids have different textures, and their exact compositions are listed on the individual product pages.

For example, selected Classic styles combine polyester and elastodiene in the braid. Some Leather Stretch models use bonded leather blended with polyester and elastodiene. The finishing pieces and metal buckle are separate components, so check the full composition when comparing two belts.

Do you still need to choose a size?

Yes. Adjustable fastening gives flexibility within a suitable fit. The size you choose affects the belt's overall length and the amount of tip left beyond the buckle. Measure around your trousers where the belt will sit, then consult the belt size guide and the product's available options.

How is Hybrid Smart different?

Hybrid Smart belts use an adjustable clasp construction and are described as one-size designs. Check the specific model's description for its fastening and fit. The adjustment system is different from the pin-through-braid construction of a traditional stretch belt.

Choose a belt for your everyday wardrobe

A single-colour braid is easy to combine with jeans or tailored trousers. Two-tone and multicolour styles can pick up a shade in a jacket or knit. Buckle finishes bring another choice: read the Black DLC Buckle article to learn about the dark coating used on selected stainless steel buckles.

Start with the fit and construction, then compare the colours and materials that suit the clothes you wear most often.
